Todays pics march 30th

 Heres todays offering.

Have the cows gone too??

I mentioned the missing cats the other day. Now it seems the cows have fucked off as well.... At least milk seems to have vanished from all my local shops.
Now the thing is theres no real reason for a shortage of milk. Cows cant catch the virus, and dairy cows have to be milked twice a day regardless, you cant just stop.  The cows can suffer quite badly from not being milked.  Now I know some wont believe this but I know a bit about farms, over the years I've spent a fair bit of time on them.
There was a farm in the family when I was growing up and I spent a lot of time as a child there, and my brother in law (when I was married) had the one of the biggest dairy herds in the country, and I was left in charge of that while they were away.... Most of it survived....  So I do know a bit about what I'm talking about.
So the cows are being milked, it only keeps so long, where the fucks it going?   Or have the cows all done a runner with the cats and dolphins (see hitchhikers guide to the galaxy).

Todays pics 28th March

Well today pics are from the same batch.  I'm still virus free.... So far.
Life is a nightmare, people should be trying to make things easier, not like my surgery who after ages of getting my perscription right decide now when people should stay indoors to fuck it up meaning two visits to the bloody chemists.
 Anyway onto the pics.

Where did the cats go update

It's just occured to me that there a third possibility for the missing cats.
Douglas Adams book the Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy had the dolphins leave earth just before the Vogons destroyed it (from memory I think it was actually the book called so long and thanks for the fish that explained why)  So maybe the cats have all left before earth gets destroyed by the Vogons  We can just hope so......

Where did all the cats go???

Ok I'm being quite serious now.  Where did all the cats go?
I'm something of an animal lover, and growing up we always had more cats than the mad cat lady, seriously!  I think we had over 20 at one point, you couldn't get near the bloody fire in winter... but thats another story.. The question is where have the moggies gone?
Theres lots of cats in my neighbourhood, you normally see loads everyday, but this week I've only seen one.
Now two possibilites come to mind, either people are keeping tiddles inside to keep the dreaded virus away from enquiring whiskers or...  people have done what they did in the war and scoffed tiddles with a nice chianti and some fava beans.  Being serious this is what lots did during rationing in WW2 (dogs were also on the menu)  Now I know shelves in tescos are a bit bare but it's awfully early on to be eating your pets.
The thing is as far as the virus is concerned I'm told pets cant get it.  Indeed the World Health Organisation said it's safe to lets dogs go for a walk. (WHO lets the dogs out... who let the dogs out... )  I'll get my coat.

Doctor Who...

Doctor Who started with the episode " an unearthly child" on the 23rd Nov 1963 with William Hartnells Doctor and that run of  Doctor Who ended with the episode " survival"  on the 6th Dec 1989 with Sylvester McCoy playing the Doctor.
Jump forward in time to the 26th March 2005 (15 years ago today) and the Doctor returns to TV with the episode "Rose" with Christoper Eccleston as the Doctor. The series continues untill the 1st of March 2020 with the episode "timeless children with Jodie Whittaker.
Sadly the bad news is since August 2014 when Peter Capaldi took over it's gone downhill faster than an anvill dropped from a plane.
It's also interesting to note that under Capaldi the series dropped from thirteen episodes in a series to twelve. Under Whittaker it dropped to ten, viewers have also dropped off.
Personally I was a HUGE fan of Doctor Who, ok there was one or two I wasn't that fussed on right up to Capaldi, he was just hopeless in my opinion, not helped by scripts written for a younger man.... Then we get to Whittaker... OMG!  Where do I start...
Well saying I hate her as the Doctor is putting it mildly.  Indeed I honestly cant stand watching her episodes, not helped by her "voice" making my ears bleed, the scripts making me want to smash my telly and her "acting"  Well as someone who has also been on stage and TV I feel comfortable in saying her acting leaves a lot to be desired (preferably someone else doing it!) unlike Capaldi who had two expressions Whittaker seems to have only one.
As far as I'm concerned Doctor who arrived on the 23rd November 1963, and Died on the 1st of March 2020.
All we need now is a funeral and a tombstone for the series... that and a murder investigation with Chris Chibnal as prime suspect...  Goodbye Doctor Who....   Thank fuck I have the old series to watch!

Next few pics

These are from the same shoot, I'm just posting a few a day to make them last till I can go out shooting again.

I've been taking sensible precautions....

I've been taking sensible precautions when out shooting pics recently (as you can see) but as the country formerly known as Great Britain is a shambles with everybody and everything shut down I'll be posting some recent pics over the next week or so, probably one or two a day to keep the blog alive.

Me staying safe.... (yes I'm taking the piss)

Virgin media WTF?

Well done Virgin Media for making life harder during our nation crisis. Went online to pay my monthly bill today only to find that due to corona virus the fully automated bill paying service is now fucked!  Now I've heard of computer viruses but this is just plain bonkers, computers cant bloody catch any corona virus, they just cant! Thats not how it works.
When the system was half working it now needs a password to pay a bill, never needed one before for the last 6 or 7 years, but now of all times to make life harder the twats need a password.
Tried the ones I've used in the past.... NO!  tried the one listed...NO!  Indeed it didn't even like the mothers maiden name saying it's wrong... NO it's fucking not, I know her maiden name FFS!
After several phone calls with two phones on the go and about 45 minutes online I got my bill finally paid.

NEWS VIRGIN, IF IT'S NOT EASIER NEXT MONTH I'LL BE FUCKING GOING ELSEWHERE..

Virus panic is getting silly now!

Ok this virus panic is getting silly. Today I saw people queuing outside chemists shops to buy stuff or get their scripts filled... WTF?
Whats the bloody point of letting them in one at a time?  The virus can last up to 72 hours on a hard surface and minutes airborn inside the shop. Secondly they are queuing alltogether outside the bloody shop. They stand nearly as much chance grouped together as waiting inside.
Then they are in contact with the same fucking staff who handle the stuff bought, I hate to point out the bleeding obvious but if a customer passes it to a staff member on say money or the counter, he/she will pass it back to the next customer. Making them stand in line outside isn't going to make any difference to that.
Same as shuuting everything down, you cant hide from the virus for ever, all your doing is SLOWING the spread down, people will still catch it sooner or later.
What they are doing is killing business and ruining the economy.
How long do you shut the country down for a week?  a month?  or years? sooner or later people will have to come out of hiding, by then thousands of business will be gone, millions more on benifits can barking Borris afford that? I bet he can't.  This is the problem with knee-jerk panic reactions and silly ideas, they dont think it through for the long term.
They say people are four meals away from anarchy (MI5 claim) judging by the shops thats not far off!.

Sunsets, and other assorted pictures

Took a few shots last night.  here they are.

Some landscapes

Well today I decided to leave my secret lair/bunker in a hollowed out volcano... (I wish) and wearing full nuclear, chemical and biological warfair suit and respirator I thought it might be safe to leave the bunker for a few minutes and actually take some smegging photos. Well here they are.
The standing stone is Maen Llia and 4000 years old.. (sings happy birthday to you)

The worlds gone mad!

Well the panic has gripped the world. It's gone properly bonkers!  The panic buying has gone into meltdown, for some reason toilet rolls are now delivered under armed escort by securicor.
Rice and pasta are impossible to buy. Yet still plenty of pot noodles, but as they count as fingernail clipping more that food I cant say I'm supprised, although back in my rock climbing days we used to eat loads of them, and I quite liked the taste of the curry flavor.
People are even pinching the hand gel from hospitals.
The thing called Borris who does prime minister impressions on the telly tells elderly at risk people to avoid crowds and self isolate. Sadly it hasn't occuded to him that many still work, others have younger family still at home or look after grandchildren. Not so easy to isolate then is it. Not that it works anyway with people calling at your home to sell crap, deliver perscriptions etc etc etc.
Indeed oddly my 86 year old mother and myself (well into my 60's) have both received hospital outpatients appointments, rather odd as you usually wait years for them. One could be mistaken for thinking the clowns who run the shambles called Britain are trying to get the elderly people out of isolation into a hospital full of coughing plauge carrying unclean germ dispensers... and thats just the staff... don't get me started on the public.
Well I'd better load the AK and deliver half a bog roll to my brother, he failed to buy any and now wipes his arse on axeminister carpet as it's cheaper than the bog rolls online!
If I'm still alive "I'll be back!"   (said like arnie)

Panic buying.

I went shopping today and noticed the panic buying has started, one man has apparently filled half his living room with toilet paper. Now I realise that getting "Deli-belly" might be a side effect of the corona virus but my god you'd need one hell of a dose of the shits to need that much bog roll. Thats bloody years supply, and theres no real shortage of supplies yet.
To be honest I struggled to get 647 pot noodles, and 431 loaves of bread, and I was limited to only 124 mars bars... barstards. Thats only two days supply for me!

Weird stuff yet again

My bloody poltergeist did it again, something else went missing only to turn up somewhere I'd looked the next day, and as I hadn't even mentioned the item to anyone, it couldn't have been my son playing silly buggers, not that he's that way inclined in the first place. He's not givern to practical jokes like that.  He's sensible like his dad....  Errr ok then he's sensible unlike his dad....

A few odd pics and still not got out shooting properly

What a few weeks, what with boiler engineers, my mum ill and general hassle I've had bugger all time to get out shooting properly. Today I'm over the crem so another day gone (still at least it's not a funeral.
So onto the pics, these are a few from my garden, just mostly plants and a bit of wall texture. Yes I know it's nothing special but I least I heard the shutter go click... better than nothing.
All shot on the walk around lens on my old camera.

The Neathca lines...

Most of you have heard of the Nazca lines, geoglyphs in the Nazca desert in Peru, Well I've found the Neathca lines in a field near Neath.  Yeah ok crap compared to the real ones but a lot closer.
Wonder if these were made for aliens to see from space....   Ok I'll get my coat.
