EDC torches, long term results.

Some time back I posted a list of EDC (every day carry ) torches. I thought I'd update with a long term review of how they have fared.
All the torches except the "police" 3w are still working fine. The "police" 3w died it just seized up more or less. To be honest no great loss, it was easily the worst of the bunch anyway.
Which have I actually used the most??  That would be the Olight I 3 eos mono keyring. As it's on my car keys it's always to hand, yes the Thrunight has more modes and it's on my house keys, but it's the lack of memory, and having to twist through firefly, low and then to high that makes me go for the Olight every time.
I think I said it before but when I want a light I want bright first, not feeble.
If I could build my own, I'd go for around 700 Lms full power, 400 medium, 200 low, 15 very low, I wouldn't bother with the .5 firefly, 15 is low enough to read a map and bright enough to move around at night. It would have memory so back to the last used setting, and ideally a low powered red led as well on a separate button so you can read a map and not blow your night vision.
Mind there is one I have my eye on right now, I'll light up a 7 story hotel 3 miles away....  Bright doesn't come close, mental maybe, and it's going to be a git on the batteries but hey, who doesn't want to light up something 3 miles away. Heck I am a bloke...

A few black and white (and a sepia)

A few of my railway pics converted to black and white, plus the one sepia.
