Hard sun (review) contains spoilers

Well last night a new series started on the BBC called hard sun.
This is a tricky one to review, party because it's only the first episode of a series and has to build the story, secondly because it's just so daft.
The premise is earth s doomed, it seems the sun is going to have a bad day in five years time, the government /security services are trying to keep it quiet to avoid panic.  So far so good with the story. But two police officers investigating a sort of suicide find out about it and decide that people should know about things.
Good points it's a pre apocalyptic police/science fiction drama and a ton of money has been spent on it.
Bad points, well half of it seems to have been filmed with a pale yellow filter on the camera, no idea why it adds nothing to the story and just makes it look like the white balance is out.
The sound seems bad (a long standing issue for the BBC) a lot of the speech is mumbled or whispered and it's not helped by the droning whine of the "music" which is too loud and bloody awful over about the half the program.
Lastly parts of the story are being explained to the viewers, I can only assume the Beeb think all their viewers are morons. Eg.  "Is Whitehall behind this?" "you mean MI5?"  We guessed Whitehall meant the powers that be were behind it, I didn't think it was the Whitehall fish and chip shop in Dover.
Then there was "it's a flash drive, you know a zip drive"  Really two senior detectives having to explain to each other what a flash drive is?  No wonder they cant fucking find Madeleine  McCann if thats the quality of Met detectives.
The last straw for me was theres the countdown clock to the end of earth, (see pics) it's counting down in tenth of a second.  4 years, 49 weeks, 2 days, 6 hours, 53 minutes, 17 seconds, 1 tenth of a second .  Really, they can tell to the tenth of a second when the earth will die nearly five years away, but they cant get tomorrows weather right?  They are having a laugh, talk about too silly for words.

Wayne rating 3/10 might pick up or not.
