Tremors 7 Shrieker island Review

"When a group of hunters genetically modify Graboid eggs, they face an all-out war against the larger, terrifyingly intelligent Graboids, and the swiftly multiplying Shriekers. " IMDb This is a hard review for me to write as a fan of the Tremors franchise. The basic plot is super modified graboids are put on an island for rich hunters... Think Jurassic park with hunting and your close. Of course this goes wrong very quickly when a graboid spawns shriekers (sort of vicious chickens who hunt using infra red.. and make their victims infra dead! Enter Burt Gummer played by Michael Gross (who has appeared in all 7 movies and the TV series) who is living in isolation on a desert island, he's called out to sort out the mess. So where does it all go wrong... Well the script is weak and seems to have been written with Burt and his son in the lead rolls, for reasons unknown Travis (Burts son in the previous movie actor Jamie Kennedy) doesn't appear and a sort of son like character is created in Jimmy (Jon Hedder) Added factors are sterotyped villians so over the top it was silly, awful acting with the exception of Gross, Terrible special effects... not even as good as the original Tremors movie made in 1990. Low budget was the final straw, it looks and feels cheap and is a poor last stand for the film. Gross say he might come back from an Tremors eight if it's made (which seems unlikely from what we see on screen and the reviews). Frankly the Franchise need a large budget big studio version perhaps going back to it's roots. Waynes rating 5/10 not terrible and worth a watch if your a fan, but dont get your hopes up, even Burt gives it the finget at the end
