MMR and Autism

Now I can remember the fuss about the 3 in1 vaccine for MMR causing autism, at the time my children were young enough to have been needing to get the shot, both my children were vaccinated and thankfully there were no complications.

The story first appeared in the Lancet in 1998 and the author Andrew Wakefield was later found to have a conflict of interest and was later struck off the medical register.

A website has been told to remove information that linked autism to the 3 in 1 vaccination for MMR, now rightly or wrongly I don't like censorship, usually those trying to censor something have something to hide, why else censor it.

Maybe it's better to let people decide for themselves, if they check the evidence for and against the MMR shot, they can see the full picture, while there are some links to complications (mostly not autism) the risks from the measles/mumps/rubella are very much greater than the risk of side effects (actually quite rare like any medicine)
There's too much of the "nanny state" going on here in the UK,   Stop telling us what to do and lets us decide whats good for us.  After all those governing us are pretty clueless at the best of times, and sadly all too often there's an ulterior motive behind things any goverment does.
