Ford electrics.... part two, the saga continues

I mentioned before Fords famed electrical "issues" and the problems with changing a simple headlight bulb or a battery.
Well in part two we're going to discuss the rear lights. Oh to be fair you don't have to take both rear wheels off to change the side light bulb at the back, amazingly they made an opening you can just about get your hand in to get at the bulbs.
No this time they were clever. They lulled me into a false sense of security!
You see the bulb in the handbook is different to the bulb actually fitted in the light, not that it mattress, I asked in the shop and the bloke went tappy-tap-tap on the computer and gave me the right bulb.... well not exactly, it looks like the right bulb... but the contacts and bayonet pins are ever so slightly different, not enough to be obvious, just enough so the fucker wont fit.
Three bloody time I went back and fro, in the end I took the original bulb in and they matched it. "Thats the wrong bulb" the bloke in the shop tells me, "I've got the same car, same year,  it wont fit" he added.  It did though.
Bloody Fords!
