Panasonic lumix insane lens

 I've been lent an FZ82 (I think) made by panasonic, the camera has a x60 zoom, it's the equivenient of a 20mm to 1200 mm ona film camera or full frame sensor.

 It's just bonkers, sadly it's let down by the small sensor which limits quality and much worse the interface.

 Over the years I've had a lot of cameras, and during training handled pretty much most of the digital and compacts around, this is just plain different. It's weird, it's seems the menu items change around and items appear and vanish, and the camera just does things on it's own.  It's not just greyed out options, you get that on most cameras in one mode or another (eg Canon usually has no raw option in the scene modes) things like that this is just bloody hard work.

 If it wasn't for the interface I'd buy one tomorrow, the qualitys fine for the blog (as you can see in the pics of hang gliders I posted) but I couldn't live with the menu and trying to work out what the fuck it's going to do next.

 I honestly don't know if this is the way it's designed or if this one has a fault of some sort.  If it by design then the person who designed it need better medication if you ask me.

 Now the pics, sadly I've had very little time to actually play with the camera.

 Heres three pics shot of a local house, the first is at the 20mm wide setting the lamp is in the circle under the arrow, the second is at 1200mm the last is at 2400mm using the digital zoom, not great quality but thats a bonkers reach for something that small and about £300

 A few odd random shots. All taken on a Panasonic lumix that I've been lent to try out and figure the controls.  Great lens, shame about the interface... I'm still baffled.

Food and sunflower pics part A

 

Been a while since I put any food pics up and heres a few sunflowers as well. The sunflowers are shot on a few different lens, including a 17-50mm a 105 macro and a 70-300.

 

 

Well new computers come... and it works

 New computer come this morning, I'm now Windoze 10 (thats how I spell it)  Looks like I'll be able to upload videos to youtube again, the old one wont talk to youtube creater suit or whatever it's called.  Got a load to make and at least one waiting to edit that I filmed a while back.

Also found out new cars are too clever for themselves!  Leave a door slightly open (not fully closed) and the bloody handbrake stays on.  In one way a good safety feature, in another bloody dangerous, if you have a bump and a doors damaged or sprung you cant drive the vehicle off the road to safety.

Looks like I'm going to get wet

 

 Got a wedding today, and the weathers bloody terrible.  Now the real problem is I don't like getting wet, cold I don't mind, hot I can manage, but wet I just hate.  I don't know why, maybe from my childhood or something but I hate being wet.  Can I live with it... yes, if I dont have a choice.  But if I can avoid it I do.

 So with that in mind some water pictures... and no I didn't get wet taking these.

 The London mint has released an Elvis coin.  Maybe two days after the anniversary of his death was not the best time to do, they have also overlooked the minor detail that Elvis never even visited the UK.  I wont be getting one!
