Hollywood and TV seem to have lost all sense of thinking up something new.
For some reason the only things that can think of is a remake. The planning sessions must go something like this... " I have a great idea, we'll have an ex green beret, he's being hounded by a drug cartel and he fights back and kills them all" Ahh so Rambo 17 then? "No this is different,,, errr he's younger, it's a prequal" Oh great idea.
So your tv and movies are all pretty much the same shit you watched last year.
Take the Grand Tour, the latest is Clarkson Hammond and May talking and showing clips of the programs we've already seen. Wow, original idea...
Even better they are planning a new series with different people.... Clearly they haven't heard the expression learning from other peoples mistakes.
The BBC tried Top Gear without them, it died a slow panful death. It's not rocket science, people tuned in to watch Clarkson Hammond and May, NOT TOP GEAR.. The Grand Tour will go the same way.
For goodness sake come up with something original. Not another bloody Superman or batman, not a prequal, not a spin off of a show that ended 6 sodding years ago (big bang theory take note) Hell he wasn't even a very popular character.
Stop remaking a films and gender swopping the main character. It's been done to death and they flop in the box office. How monumentally dumb do you have to be to keep doing it and loosing money?
You make money by selling to the biggest market, stop making films to please 12 people in Latvia or whatever, make a film for 50 million Americans. Bums on seats is what pays the bills.
