Sunset and tree
Yes I know I said I was going to cut down on sunsets but we do get some nice ones around here. Got this one last night, was it worth the walk uphill.... I suppose so for the view, shame it was a bit hazy.
I'm trying smaller pictures because I'm having trouble uploading bigger ones to the blog.

Well done BBC!
Yes well done BBC (Britons Biggest Cash-cow) It take skill to spend £230.000 of licence payers money on tea, I dread to think how much they spent on biscuits!
Less than half the licence fee is spent on actually making programs, time to cut the licence fee in half then. Better still scrap it and make the racist excuse for a tv channel pay it's way like all the other channels. I say racist because it is. Anywhere in the world I can watch BBC programs without paying the beebs licence fee, yet because I live in Britain I have to pay one, so discrimination on grounds of location. The funny part is they think they are so pc correct.
Another thing, it's claimed that you only need a licence to watch "live" tv, well none of it is live, even live outside broadcasts have a 6-8 second delay, thats done so they can cut the progam if something nasty happens before it's seen on screen.

Sgwd yr Eria waterfall
I remember doing this years ago, then we went with huge heavy packs and ran up the hills Bugger me! it's either moved a lot further away and grown in height or I've got older.... yeah that would be it then.
Not the easiest of the waterfalls to get to, indeed it's a bit of a bastard the way I went.. I started at Dinas rock, follow the path up the left side of the rock and keep to the left where the path splits, eventually you reach the top, but it's a lot of climbing uphill and uneven ground in places, then theres a boggy patch, not dangerous just messy if it's been wet.
You'll come to the top of the path down to the falls after an hour or two, now this used to be horrible big steps all the way down, now as parts collapsed there a zigzag path down part way and then you join the old steps, sadly the bottom of the steps is the same, missing in fact, it just goes to bare broken and slippey mess that needs care crossing, then your at the bottom with a good view of the falls.
Now you can go behind these falls but care is required as it's very slippery and theres always the risk
of falling rock from the overhang above, indeed it was closed for some time due to safety concerns. So approach at your own risk, keep in mind your a LONG way from any help if anything happens.
Technology, why is it all so crap?
Technology, why is it all so crap? Seriously though it is.
Today I phoned a friend, or tried, now I'm phoning someone about 3 miles away, the mobile kept dropping out altogether, and even the house phone had terrible crackling. 46 years ago NASA managed to talk to Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon, thats around 240.000 miles away, yet all these years later I'm struggling to talk to some one 80.000 time closer, so no improvement there then.
Then we have tills. In the old day you picked up your tin of cat food, you took it to a till, the woman said thats 9p you gave her the money, she pressed some buttons and a big "ching" noise happened, the till opened she gave you your change and you went home to feed the cat. Now you pick up your tin of cat food take it to a till a woman tries to scan it, then types in the bar code (about 30 numbers) manually then the till opens (no ching this time) she gives you your change after asking you if you need a bag, do you need help packing a single tin, do you know there3p a litre off petrol and God knows what else. Then you wait while the till prints out about 3 foot of paper receipts, one, a foot long gives you 2p off your next shop. The bloody receipt cost 2p to print for heavens sake.
Does it really need 3 foot of paper for a tin of cat food or a mars bar?
Then we have cars. I remember cars that had spark plugs, points and a carburetter, you could take out a plug and clean it. You could clean the contact in the points to get you home (or change it yourself on the road if you had a spare) and you could clean the jet in the carburetter, again all would get you home. Now a man who looks suspiciously like Stephen Hawking uses a Cray super computer connected to your car to tell you that you have an error code 1J77DE, this means a team of men in space suits will spend a week fixing what replaced your carburetter and charge you a million pounds, and it'll probably go wrong again in 3 days. And of course it can't be fixed on the side of the road anymore.
Indeed if you open the bonnet and look inside you'll be baffled, even dear old Scotty would look puzzled, and he fixed a starship every week.
No we haven't come forward at all, we've moved backwards, we rely on all this tech crap all the time, if the power goes out it'll all come to an end. And if you need a tin of cat food you'd better home that good old fashioned shop with the "ching" till is still about, because the new fangled shit ain't going to work. Might be best to just shoot Tiddles now and save the messing about later when it all goes tit's up!

Jurassic World 2015 (film review)
"Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now
features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as
originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and
visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new
attraction is created to re-spark visitor's interest, which backfires
horribly." IMDb
The film follows on some 22 years later with what was Jurassic Park now renamed and fully open. All is well until a super T-Rex escapes, after that things go downhill fast.
Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, and Ty Simpkins. The film has plenty of action and the sort of special effects we've come to expect. The film also has some nice reminders of the original Jurassic Park thrown in.
Watch out for the product placement (Mercedes Benz) not that your lightly to miss it, seeing as the badge is shown about every 30 seconds.
Wayne rating 7/10

Kajaki 2014 (film review)
Kajaki is a war film with a difference, theres not a shot fired.
Based on a true story of an incident that happened in Afghanistan at the Kajaki dam on the 5th September 2006.
The film revolves around a small group of men who go on a patrol and stumble into a minefields left over from the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979 - Feb 1989. They start taking casualties and it's the dealing with the casualties and effecting their rescue that is the films main story.
Not for the squeamish and contains bad language the film is a surprisingly accurate representation of soldiers in a combat zone, the kit is about right, as is the way the soldiers react with each other, even the joking at each others injuries,
I found it a little slow and personally I would have liked more action in the first half.
Waynes rating 7/10
