Apples new watch
Apple's eagerly awaited new watch launched yesterday, so if you have between £299-£12.000 spare you can buy one. Oh yes, and remember as a watch it's fine if you only have 18 hours left to live, because that how long Apple say the battery will last, so in real life then about 8 hours I suspect.
Who the hell wants a watch that only runs for less than a day????
Chappie 2015 (film review)
IMDb "In the near future, crime is patrolled by a mechanized police force. When one police droid, Chappie, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself"
The film is set in South Africa and stars Dev Patel as Deon Wilson a computer programmer.
Chappie is a police "droid", a sort of terminator style robot built to uphold the law. Droid 22 (chappie) becomes damaged in a shoot out and is sent for destruction, Deon decides to use droid 22 as a test bed for new software he's designed, software that he hopes will make a droid sentient (able to think for itself) the software works and droid 22 becomes Chappie.
The film is based around Chappies development as he grows up mentally from small child to adult but set against a gang of violent criminals and conflict within the company that makes the droids.
The film is surprisingly gripping, there are times when you'll almost believe Chappies real, the CGI or whatever is used works superbly, indeed I did wonder if they actually made a robot for the movie, maybe remote controlled but it seems far to complex.
Anyway the story has a lots of laughs and quite a few sensitive tender moments. The film also stars Huge Jackman, Sigourney Weaver (in a surprisingly small part) and several other actors such as Ninja, Yo-landi Visser, and Jose Pablo Cantillo in staring roles.
Don't be fooled though, this isn't a movie for children, there's violence and bad language.
Wayne rating 7/10 Well worth a watch on the big screen

More CCTV?
Bernard Hogan Howe (head of the met police) says Britain needs more CCTV cameras to cut crime, every house should have them he says. He goes on to say householders fit their own cameras too high, all they get is the top of the criminals heads, cameras should be eye level to take advantage of facial recognition software.
It's interesting that Britain which has the most CCTV cameras in the world also has a pretty bad record of catching the burglars, so does that mean the CCTV is useless in the first place?
What Mr Howe seems to be overlooking is the reason cameras are not at eye level, because it's the same reason all the official cameras are on top of 30 foot poles. It's to stop them being damaged or stolen, as anybody with 2 or more brain cells would know Lets face it if the man in charge of the met police doesn't know that the cameras will be damaged or stolen if they are low down he's really not the right man for the job.
Perhaps if the police spent more time looking for the burglars and less time investigating 45 year old allegations against dead tv personalities which are pointless anyway on account of the alleged criminal being just a bit dead the results might be a bit better.....

Hard to believe
Hard to believe but bankers wife Tanya Clarence returned home to her 1.2 million pound house this week just four months after killing her three disabled children, she was seen at the house with whats thought to be her fourth remaining child.
It was claimed that she killed the children while suffering severe depression brought on by caring for her disabled children.
Four months for murdering three children!, while a seventy one year old pensioner Josephine Rooney was jailed for two years for failing to pay her council tax (for the second time) she only received a three month sentence for the first offence. Logically she'd have been better off murdering a few children and saying she was confused by her age
And they say British justice is the best in the world, don't make me laugh.

Safety mentalists!
Why does mouthwash need a child (and adult) proof top? The bloody stuff is designed to go in your mouth, how dangerous can it be? I'm fairly sure a bottle of whisky is more dangerous to a child but that doesn't have a child proof top. Not does window cleaner, or my de-icer liquid, does that mean they are safe to drink.... Ok I know whisky is but the other stuff.?. Think about it, hair spray isn't great for your eyes, but it doesn't need a child proof top, I know it's tested on bunny's but have you seen the state of them after.... Cigarettes can kill you but again no child proof top, but mouthwash? Why for heavens sake!
I take a knife to the bloody bottle and cut off the stupid child proof tags, but thats probably more dangerous than drinking the stuff, but the choice is five minutes wrestling with the bastard bottle every time I clean my teeth.

And the streets ran red with....... well dye.....
Ok it's not blood but it was the best I could find, it's been done for comic relief, or so I'm told.
