I can't help but notice that goods with disposable packaging usually have loads of free space around the item meaning it practical falls out when you open it, yet item that have packaging you have to re-use usually come with little or no spare space, making it well neigh impossible to get the damn thing back in the box.
I have one of those hair trimmer thingies (yes I know I haven't got much hair left thank you!) but regardless of the fact I'm follicly challenged I still trim whats left, trouble is it takes me longer to get the trimmer back in the bloody case than it does to cut my hair.... Yes I know that doesn't take too long! But the bloody box is about half the size of the trimmer and widgets.

Pilots flying hours....
Your pilot may not be as experienced as you think, take a typical airline pilot with 10.000 hours, that not quite what it seems. Think about it, 10.000 hours might be less than 2000 flights, most airline pilots actually only fly the plane for about 4 minutes a flight, thats only 8000 minutes flying (about 133 hours) and keep in mind thats in roughly 2 minute segments about 5 hours apart, very very little actuall hands on flying.
Harris shutter effect.
Heres an example of the Harris shutter effect. Theres a few different ways of doing this, one is to take three different pics using primary colour filters (red/blue/green) and compositing them later, every things that moves changes colour, every thing stationary looks normal (use a tripod) Here I used a different method, I cheated and used photoshop, taking the same three pics (without filters) I then used one different channel from each pic to make up the final new image.
Programs with the wrong titles!
Everybody loves Raymond No they don't!
Whale wars Better title, eco warriors get arses kicked by Japanese.
Panorama No it's nothing to do with panoramas.
Lorraine (lorraie kelly) I haven't seen her on the program for years, is she still alive?
Finding bigfoot Don't make me laugh, this lot couldn't find a brick in a bag.
Big car diary Errr they can't write so hardly lightly to have a diary......

World war 3
It's been predicted for some time that world war three will start this spring, and with the USA and Russia saber rattling over the Ukraine it's looking more and more lightly.
The US economy is about to take another bit hit , some say the worst ever, war is good for the economy, however I'm not sure the US has thought this through.
Lets be honest, the US doesn't have a great record of winning, the war with Great Briton was close to a draw, and both sides pretty much gave up, WW1 the US entered on Apr 6 1917 (nearly 3 years into the war) and only after Russia had started to collapse which lead to the end of the war.
WW2 the US was over 2 years late arriving, and then only after the Japanese attack on Pearl harbour, and it was 1943 before they actually dropped a bomb on Germany.
Since then there was Vietnam where the locals in pajamas beat them and they lost so many troops they pulled out. Iraq where the war was claimed to be to remove Saddam Hussein weapons of mass destruction (which didn't exist) and was actually part of a much earlier plan to invade 7 middle eastern countries (Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and Sudan)
Again in Afghanistan the troop losses where heavy, part of the reason for the troops being pulled out, although the country is so destabilised it could be as late a 2024 before the last come home. Yet again the local people have given the highly trained and well equipped armies a hard time, and it has to be said it's very very hard to fight a war like this against a local people who have never been successfully invaded. We shouldn't forget the reason for the invasion of Afghanistan either, it was in retaliation for 9/11, a curious choice when 14 of the 19 terrorist hijacker were Saudi Arabian (according to the FBI)
Sadly I don't think Russia, backed by places like North Korea will be anything like as easy to attack as Afghanistan or Iraq, and Russia has nukes and probably isn't afraid to use them.
If we in the UK have any sense we'll keep well out of it, sadly with the politicians we have we'll most lightly be first in, anybody remember those plans for a limited nuclear war in Europe........

Craig Gallivan new photo shoot.
I had another shoot with all round nice guy Craig over the weekend, here are a few of my favorite pics.
More UK madness!!!
In the village of Bishopthorpe near York parents are in fury. Why? because the road by the school is too dangerous for a school crossing man/woman, oh apparently it's fine for young children to cross they say but health and safety (the excuse not to do anything in the uk) makes it unsafe for a school crossing patrol.
What can you say, well how about if it's too bloody dangerous for a grown adult in hi-vis clothing maybe it's far to dangerous for young children in dark school uniforms to cross. Answer... close the bloody school and open a new one somewhere safer. Job done!
So get on with it York council, your putting young childrens lives at risk every day you delay.
