A word of caution to those who rely on GPS signal for finding their way about. GPS "spoofing" is being used in a few places, mostly near combat zones but possible just about anywhere.
This will fool your GPS device into thinking it's somewhere else, not it's actual location.
This probably isnt a big deal if your delivering parcels for Amazon, on the other hand if your off into the wilds of Alaska it could be a very serious problem.
A commercial airliner was spoofed at 34.000 feet and got of all things a ground proximity warning, with the highest mountain at 29.000 feet this is obviously wrong, but still worrying. If they get the position wrong on landing approach theres a very real risk of hitting a hill somewhere.
