Sofirn IF25A torch review
I'm not really sure where to start with this torch review. The Sofirn IF25A is a pocket sized power house. It has a range of 1 to 3800 lm, which is tons of light. It has just about every mode you can think of. Beacon, sunset, candle, bike, lightning, party strobe, tactical strobe. You can have stepless or stepped dimming levels, it's got thermal configuration (you set the stepdown temp) it's got temp and battery check levels, lockout, and even a muggle mode so you can lend it to someone in just basic torch mode without the bells and whistles. It's maxium range is listed as 420 meters, it's drop tested to one meter and waterproof to IPX8 (2 meters undr water). It runs off a 21700 battery but can use the more common 18650 with the sleeve supplied. So whats it like to use.... well it's got a LOAD of light in full power, turbo is mental, and the lowest 1lm moonlight is ok for checking your watch or a quick look at a map. The lightning mode is quite effective bounced off the celing, and bike would be ideal if your a cyclist, although theres no bike mount supplied. Candle looks clever but is let down but the very white colour, tactical strobe is a waste, while it works well and you can ajust the flash speed theres no easy way to engage it, it takes two quick clicks and a long hold of the single button to fire up strobe. Thats the real weakness of this torch. One button to do so much means the interface is complicated to say the least. That said full power on a single click (easily set) is more than enough to fry your attackers eyes in the dark, this thing will light up a football field on full power, god help if your 6 foor away when you get torchy blinded.... (sorry couldn't help myself) It's also a very fair price for a lot of torch, around the £45 at Christmas 2020, and it's rechargable. I can't find the battery life times but your looking at a couple of hours at full power and a days on the lower power setting, remember you honestly dont need the full power to walk around, even the lowest setting above moonlight is plenty to see where your going (stepped mode).

Isn't it amazing?
I'm not exactly busy at the moment. The few weddings I had are cancled, the weathers crap and we're in lockdown. So on a day to day bais I'm sitting around most of the time.... Odd then that Wednesday I have two hospital appointments, my mother has to go for her covid jab and the mechanic wants to come to sort out my car electrics AGAIN!. What are the odd they all need to be the same bastard day?

Update
Sorry for the lact of posts. I've been feeling rough with this virus thing I've had (doc thinks it's covid despite test being neg) and I've had my mother in hospital so added stress and strain there. Coupled with crap weather means I haven't been able to get out shooting, especially as we're back in stupid lockdown. So I'm hoping to sort out some pics taken indoors over the next few days, probably macro stuff, but it is what it is. Thanks fo sticking with me.

Doctor Who new year special revolution of the Daleks
Well on new years day we had the new 2021 Doctor who special (always used to be Christmas day) This ones called revolution of the daleks. Now I made a point of watching it and watching it carefully. This was to actually watch the acting. First of all it wasn't terrible, the story is an American businessman steals a knackered dalek. This enables him to make security/police drone copies, with two guns instead of the sucker. (If this sound familar it's the basic plot of terminator and skynet) Anyway unknown to the businessman one of his tech nerds has been cloning the daleks and they intend to take over the new housing made by this blokes company. It also has a return of Captain Jack Harkness, played by John Barrowman. All good so far. Now enter the Doctor and it all starts to unravel. You see with the best will in the world Jodie just cant be convincing as the doctor, shes easily the weakest actor in the cast, even the tech nerd easily out-acts her, and he's a bit part player not a lead cast. It's just silly. Trouble is the news gets worse, two of the cast left the series, Ryan Sinclair played by Tosin Cole one of the better actors and much worse Graham O'Brian played by Bradly Walsh, the best actor in the show! This leaves the Doctor and Yasmin Kahn played by Mandip Gill, one of the weakest after the Doctor. This doesn't bode well for the future. The reason she had so many compannions was because she was so weak it took her off the screen, in this episode the doctors on screen for only about 35% of the episode, and this nearly always with other supporting actors to help carry her.
