Wear your poppy with pride

I know there's controversy over the poppy. Some say it glorified war. That was never the original intention.

It was to remember those who fought and died for their country.  Hardly glorifying war.

War I'd dirty, nasty, and dangerous.  I mean you have to stick your bayonet in an enemy and twist it. Hardly glamorous.

So I wear my poppy with pride, I have 2, one on my coat, and one on my bag. I'm proud to be a part of remembering those who died.

I don't glorify war, it's terrible,  but the men and women who died I will remember.

I lost friends in my service time. I still think of them. You play snooker with a mate one night, a week later your at his funeral.  God bless all those who died.
