A flight to Glasgow had a somewhat fun day out.
While trying to land in the bad storm and high winds, it had a go around. It then made a second attempt 30 minutes later. This also failed due to the weather.
The aircraft then diverted to its alternate airport of Edinburgh ( about 25 miles away) trying to land there a little over an hour after it's first attempt at Glasgow. This also failed as conditions were bad there too.
The crew then diverted to Manchester and after declaring a fuel emergency they landed safely, but over 200 miles from the destination.
That said the weather was very bad, and safety first on a flight is a good thing.
I'd rather land in the next country than crash in the right one.
