Olympics are coming...

Yes the Olympics are coming.... Oh Yeah!!  Oh crap!   The silly nonsense has already invaded all the tv adverts, "Fred Blogs butcher, supplier to the Olympic games" etc etc etc.
Frankly I'm sick of hearing the word Olympics already and the bloody games haven't even started yet, God help us when it starts, it'll be news from the Olympics (bugger all about the rest of the world) Weather for the Olympics, doesn't matter if you don't happen to be in Rio (as most of us wont  be) Oh no, as long as it's got the word Olympics mentioned every 12 seconds they'll be happy.
Whether holding the games in a country that hasn't finished the facilities yet, and the ones they have "finished" are falling apart, in a country so crime ridden it makes Colombia look like Brighton was a good idea in the first place I don't know.  Personally I suspect this games is going to go down in history for all the wrong reasons.
Then theres the Zika virus, you can't protect yourself with any vaccines (there arn't any) and very little treatment if your unlucky enough to catch it. So good luck with that one.

Diving into the unknown 2016 (film review) (Finnish)

"After a terrible accident deep inside an underwater cave, the survivors are forced to risk their own lives to bring the bodies of their friends home."IMDb

The film is a feature length documentary following a group of cave divers who suffer an accident during a dive, it then follows their attempt to recover the bodies of their friends after the official rescue attempt gives up.

I found the film very compelling to watch, the photography is excelent, epecially considering it's on go-pros not professional video kit

The film is in Finnish but fortunately I speak subtitle  fluently

Waynes rating 8/10    Well worth a watch

Feeling a bit gutted today

I went on to a photography forum today, haven't been on it since Christmas as I'd more or less stopped posting pics there. When I logged in the first message I got was that one of the members who I used to chat to a lot had passed away in January, Trevor (achieverwales) another member who knew us both let me know.
Trevor had health problems including a heart condition, but he tried not to let it stop him enjoying his photography, one of his last messages to me.

" Hi Wayne
Many thanks for your thoughts and best wishes, have uploaded a photo today as a thank you to everyone for their thoughts and best wishes, still feeling weak but improving every day, so will see how I am if I upload every day, once again my friend thank you and hope you are well.

Regards

Trev"

 God bless Trevor

Talk about waffle....

"Natural Selection is a story of triumph and absolution. It explores both sides of human nature, where love as well as hate are separated by a thread and the potential corrosion of ones soul by the influence of evil."
(from the film natural selection IMDb)
Well thats as clear as mud then, think I'll give that film a miss.

A rose by any other name

"A rose by any other name"

Incidentally, the quote is from Romeo and Juliet act 2 scene 2 "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
It's just after the "O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo" bit.

Swansea bay airshow

I took a load of pics of this event, I just haven't had time to go through them properly, not helped by being the poor mans answer to the samaritans and spending most of the weekend getting a brain tumour from being on the phone constantly.

Please note, if your depressed lonely, bored or just need someone to talk too please call he proper samaritans 01792 655999 and not me, because frankly I'm getting bored listening to people whinging about how awful their lives are while I sit here bored watching my dinner go cold.
Yes I know it's terrible to have problems, but we all have problems, mine is not getting any peace over the weekend.....

Anyway the photos, I've just picked a few more or less at random and bunged them through my resize action.
I've no idea what the top picture aircraft is, the rest are the Red Arrows, a Mig 15 and a Spitfire and  hurricane (not as claimed on Wales today 2 spitfires)

I Don't Believe it!

In the words of Victor Meldrew (to whom I'm often compared)  I don't believe it! I went looking for something today, and it was..... In the FIRST place I looked!
